ABOUT
AMELIA MASON is a performing artist based in New York City. Amelia's experience spans devised dance-theater, absurdist comedy, Shakespearean and Chekhovian theater, and musical theater. She holds a BA in Theatre and minors in Sociology and Dance from Barnard College of Columbia University, where she graduated cum laude and received the Dasha Amsterdam Epstein Award in Acting. She is also an alumna of the British American Drama Academy in London.
Born and raised in Burlington, Vermont, Amelia grew up dancing classical ballet and performing musical theater. During her undergraduate studies, her focus expanded to include physical theater practices (Suzuki, Viewpoints, Lecoq), classical voice, and devised ensemble work, as well as Shakespeare and high comedy during her training in London. In recent years, her work has centered on new and developing theatrical projects, alongside continued work in film and media.
Amelia seeks to approach every project and collaboration with curiosity, careful attention to detail, and an open heart.

GOINGS ON
Amelia made her Off-Broadway debut in THE REAL IVANOV at Classic Stage Co. as Sasha. The production ran Aug. 17 - Sep. 19, 2026. The New Yorker wrote "Amelia Mason deftly balances naïveté with seductiveness." Critics highlighted Amelia's performance as "arresting" (NY Theatre Guide), a "standout" (Talkin' Broadway), and a "breath of fresh air" (Front Mezz).
Amelia will star in a film project, I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO PUT MY HANDS, written by Monte Scott Kerr. It was performed live as a play at MOtiVE Brooklyn in Feb. 2026 and Oct. 2025, and was filmed in the summer of 2026. It will be released in the spring of 2027.
Amelia sang in a musical salon showcasing the work of composer Daniella Sapone, curated by Jeanine Tesori, in May 2026. She also sang Sapone's original music at 54 Below in Mar. 2026 with First Stages, a Columbia University organization that develops new student musical theater works.
Amelia will star in an independent short film entitled YOU AND I, written and directed by Jonathan Green. Production occurred in May 2026, and the film will be released in the spring of 2027. Learn more here.
Amelia played Louisa in WHITE ELEPHANT, a new play written by Annie Stein and produced by Uptown One Train Theater Co. Shows occured in Jun. 2026 at Court Square Theater in Long Island City.
